Share a knowledge brain with a client or colleague

Give a client, colleague or contractor access to a private KBrain brain from their own AI assistant. Invite up to 5 people by email on Pro, revoke any time, and keep it away from everyone else.

Share a private brain with the people who need it

Some knowledge is too specific for the marketplace and too valuable to keep to yourself. A consultant's playbook for one client, a product spec a contractor needs, the onboarding pack for a new colleague. With KBrain Pro you can share a private brain with up to 5 people by email, and they ask it from their own AI assistant.

Examples

  • A consultant builds one brain per client engagement and shares it with the client's project lead, so they get answers grounded in the engagement documents between meetings.
  • A product manager shares a brain of specs and decision logs with an external design agency, instead of sending a folder of files that goes out of date.
  • A freelancer shares a style guide brain with the two editors who review their work, so everyone checks drafts against the same rules.
  • A team lead shares an onboarding brain with a new hire before their first day, then revokes it if plans change.

Why share a brain instead of the files

  • They get answers, not a pile of documents. The brain searches your sources and shows where each answer comes from.
  • It stays yours. People you share with can read what is in the brain through their assistant, but cannot edit it, download your original files or pass it on.
  • It stays current. When you update the brain, they get the new knowledge on their next question.
  • You stay in control. Only invited addresses can add the brain, and you can revoke access at any time.

Sharing by email is for small groups: up to 5 people per brain. For a whole company, the Business plan shares brains with everyone in your organization.

How it works

Open the brain's settings, enter an email address and send the invite. The person gets an email from KBrain, signs in with that address, and accepts. The brain then appears in their KBrain connection in Claude, ChatGPT or any MCP client. See how to share a private brain by email for the full steps.

Questions people ask.

Which plan do I need to share a brain by email?

Pro. The people you share with can use a free KBrain account.

Will the person I invite know who else has access?

No. Each person only sees the brain and who shared it with them.

What happens when I stop sharing?

Revoke the person in the brain's Share privately settings. The brain disappears from their assistant on their next question.
