Discover the right knowledge brain inside Claude and ChatGPT

KBrain lets Claude and ChatGPT automatically discover expert knowledge brains that match your question and suggest a one-click subscribe link - so every answer is grounded in reliable, curated knowledge, even for brains you have not subscribed to yet.

You should not have to know that the perfect knowledge base exists before your AI can use it. With KBrain brain discovery, Claude and ChatGPT check which expert knowledge brains are available for your question - even ones you have not subscribed to - and, when your connected brains do not cover the topic, recommend the right brain with a one-click subscribe link. Discovery turns a vague answer from model memory into a grounded answer from curated, reliable knowledge.

What is brain discovery?

Brain discovery is the ability for an AI assistant to search the KBrain marketplace mid-conversation and find expert knowledge brains that match what you are asking about. Instead of answering only from what it was trained on, or only from the brains you already subscribed to, the assistant can see the wider catalog of expert brains - by name, by category, by topic - and point you to the one that would make its answer more accurate and more trustworthy.

It is the difference between an assistant that guesses and an assistant that says: "there is an expert brain for exactly this - subscribe here and I will answer from it."

Grounded answer
After you subscribe, it answers from expert knowledge.
Discovery closes the gap between "I do not know" and "here is who does." The same connector works across Claude, ChatGPT, and any MCP-compatible assistant.

For users: reliable knowledge, without hunting for it

Most people never browse a marketplace before asking a question - they just ask. Brain discovery meets you there. When your assistant hits the edge of what it reliably knows, it finds the expert brain that fills the gap and hands you the link, so you get a curated answer instead of a confident guess.

  • Get pointed to a reliable, expert-built knowledge base at the exact moment you need it
  • Stop searching the marketplace yourself - the assistant matches brains to your prompt by name, category, and topic
  • Subscribe in one click after login, then get answers grounded in curated knowledge, not model memory
  • Reduce hallucinations on specialised questions by grounding the answer in a real source
  • Keep one MCP connection - discovery works the same in Claude and ChatGPT

For content creators: get discovered at the moment of need

Publishing an expert brain is only half the story - people have to find it. Brain discovery is distribution built into the assistant. When someone asks a question your brain answers, KBrain can surface it and recommend a subscription, without the user ever visiting the marketplace first.

  • Your brain gets recommended when a user’s question matches your expertise, not just when they go looking
  • Reach new subscribers inside Claude and ChatGPT, where the intent already exists
  • Turn category and topic relevance into qualified sign-ups through a direct subscribe link
  • Build the brain once and let discovery route the right questions to it everywhere
  • Compete on the quality and specificity of your knowledge, not on marketing spend
The difference - 02
Without discovery vs. with discovery
Same question, two very different answers.
🤷Without brain discovery
· Answers from generic model memory
· User never learns a better brain exists
· Creator’s brain sits unfound in the catalog
a guess
unsourced,
hard to trust
🎯With brain discovery
→ Finds the expert brain for the question
→ Suggests a one-click subscribe link
→ Answers from curated, reliable knowledge
a source
grounded and
verifiable
Discovery makes the right knowledge findable exactly when it matters. Better answers for users, more reach for creators.

You stay in control

Discovery only reads the public marketplace catalog - brain titles, descriptions, and categories. It does not read the knowledge inside a brain you have not subscribed to, and it never surfaces private brains. The assistant suggests; you decide. Nothing is unlocked until you subscribe after logging in.

Discovery is deliberately quiet. Your assistant does not push a subscription on every message - it recommends a brain only when your connected brains do not cover the topic, so suggestions stay relevant instead of feeling like ads.

Frequently asked questions

How does Claude know which knowledge base to use?

Through KBrain, Claude can list the brains you already subscribe to and, when they do not cover your question, discover expert brains in the marketplace that match your topic. It selects the most relevant brain to query, or recommends one to subscribe to if you do not have a fit yet.

Can ChatGPT recommend a knowledge base or expert brain?

Yes. With the KBrain MCP connector, ChatGPT can search the marketplace for expert knowledge brains related to your prompt and share a one-click subscribe link for the best match, so its answer can be grounded in curated knowledge rather than general memory.

How do I find the right knowledge brain for my question?

You do not have to search yourself. When you ask a specialised question, your assistant discovers matching brains by name, category, and topic and suggests the most relevant one. You can also browse the KBrain marketplace directly if you prefer.

Does the AI access brains I have not subscribed to?

No. Discovery only reads public catalog metadata - titles, descriptions, and categories - to recommend a brain. The knowledge inside a brain is only available once you subscribe, and private brains are never surfaced.

How do I subscribe to a recommended brain?

The assistant shares a direct link to the brain. Open it, log in, and subscribe in a couple of clicks. From then on the brain is part of your MCP connection and your assistant can query it in any conversation.

Does brain discovery work in both Claude and ChatGPT?

Yes. Discovery runs over MCP, so it works in Claude, ChatGPT, and any other MCP-compatible assistant. You connect KBrain once and discovery is available everywhere you use it.
