Setup guide
Connect KBrain to your AI assistant
KBrain plugs into Claude and ChatGPT through MCP. You add a single connector — it automatically includes every brain you subscribe to, so you can query expert knowledge without leaving your chat.
Before you start
- A KBrain account. Sign in or create one.
- At least one brain you've subscribed to. Browse the marketplace.
- Your personal connector URL, which you'll find on your Connections page once signed in.
Your connector URL
KBrain exposes a single MCP endpoint. The base URL is:
https://www.kbrain.io/api/mcpSign in and open your Connections page to copy the exact connector URL tied to your account. You only need one connector — it covers every brain you subscribe to.
Add the connector

Good to know
One connector, every brain. You don't set up a connector per brain. The single KBrain connector automatically exposes all the brains you subscribe to.
Secure by OAuth. When your assistant prompts for authentication, KBrain uses OAuth so your credentials are never pasted into the chat.
Read-only.KBrain's tools only retrieve knowledge — they never modify your account or data.
Current scope. MCP workflows are tested with Claude and ChatGPT. Other MCP-compatible clients may work but are not officially supported yet.
Example queries
Once the connector is on, just ask your assistant naturally — it will reach into the brains you subscribe to and answer with cited, expert knowledge.
- “Using KBrain, what do the latest UNESCO figures say about youth literacy in Sub-Saharan Africa?”
- “Search my connected brains for the out-of-school children rate and cite the source.”
- “Ask KBrain to summarize what my subscribed brain covers on this topic.”
