Common Criteria protection profiles

A protection profile (PP) is the security requirement set for a type of product: network devices, firewalls, smart cards, mobile devices, operating systems. A product certified against a PP meets exactly those requirements. Collaborative protection profiles (cPPs) are written jointly by the schemes and recognised across the CCRA. See Common Criteria EAL levels explained.
